At the Royal Armouries Museum at Fort Nelson we’re looking for a dynamic museum educator to play a key role in our Education Team. In this post you will develop and deliver unique, outstanding formal learning programmes and resources for Early Years, KS1-3, 16+ and adult education audiences with a dedicated team at Fort Nelson and online.

The Royal Armouries cares for one of the world’s oldest museum collections, presented at our headquarters and flagship museum in Leeds, at our historic home in the Tower of London, and at Fort Nelson near Portsmouth. Fort Nelson formed part of the Victorian defence of Portsmouth, and houses the Museum’s artillery collection.

The successful candidate will help bring our national, iconic collection to life in a programme that combines academic rigour with creative flair, in-the-moment flexibility with an eye always on the goal, and serious-mindedness with a sense of fun.

Hours

This is a full time position working 36 hours per week, 5 days out of 7. Weekend, Bank Holiday and evening working will sometimes be required.
