We are seeking an Education Programmes Officer in the Education Programmes team.

The role

As the Education Programmes Officer, you will support the Education Programmes team.

Our education and skills activities are focused on addressing the UK’s engineering skills challenge. We work across all phases of education to encourage greater numbers of people – and people from a more diverse range of backgrounds – to become engineers and technicians.

We currently have a vacancy within our education programmes team for an officer who will play a key role in supporting a busy team of professionals to deliver education programmes across the UK to time, to quality and to budget. This a great opportunity for someone who sees the education programmes and schemes as an important way forward for the future of engineering education and training.

Who are we looking for?

You will have previous experience at this level, as well as experience of event organisation, including using online tools such as Zoom and MS Teams to schedule meetings. You will need to be a self-starter with the confidence to work autonomously. As you will be supporting multiple members of a busy team on a variety of diverse projects, it is important that you are able to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines. You must also be a strong communicator, both orally and in writing, be able to produce well-presented reports from data, and be proficient at creating presentations which summarise multiple items of information. You must also have excellent IT skills and be confident in using the full Microsoft 365 suite of programmes. Experience of electronic grant management systems is desirable although not essential as full training will be provided.

Location

Our light, spacious offices are based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with a baseline 2 days a week in the office.
