Rough Linen Hiring for Bookkeeper Job at Remote Full Time

BOOKKEEPER

Rough Linen is a woman-owned and managed natural fibers designer and retailer of fine linens.
We are seeking a bookkeeper to support the day-to-day bookkeeping activities of this very active business. The position will report directly to the CEO/President, Tricia Rose, and to the part time Controller.

Job Description:

20-40 hours a week.

The position of Bookkeeper will be responsible for bookkeeping functions, including payroll calculations and reporting (including 401K contributions), payroll reporting, preparation of retail, corporate and payroll tax calculations, data entry and reconciliations. The position requires attention to detail, and the ability to ask questions when confronted with new bookkeeping situations.

Description of Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Duties include:

• Prepare and enter timely journal entries with supporting documentation, and general ledger accounts.

• Bulk-Import transaction data from Shopify to QuickBooks using Shoplink Integrator and other tools

• Reconcile all transactions with bank statements in a timely manner. Transaction data will be generated via Shopify, Amazon, PayPal, etc.

• Perform bank account reconciliations

• Assist with payroll processing and preparation of quarterly and annual payroll tax reports

• Assist in the monthly closing and preparation of financial statements in a timely fashion including balance sheets, P&L and cash flow

• Perform and maintain account reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts
• Other bookkeeping and financial duties as assigned

Job Skills Required:

• Minimum 4 to 8 years progressive bookkeeping experience required
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop), Shopify, Google Docs & Sheets, Excel

• Bookkeeping coursework helpful
• Good communication skills, both orally and in writing
• Multi-tasking and accuracy of work product
• Attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines

SOFTWARE

QuickBooks Desktop, Excel
Knowledge or experience with Shopify, PayPal, Avalara, PayChex etc very helpful

Ability to learn new software

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 – $50.00 per hour
