Due to current Coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions we are following Government advice and this may result in interviews being held via video call.

Anticipated start date: As soon as possible, to work 37 hours per week, term time only. This post is initially, a short term, temporary contract end date March 31st 2022. There is a possibility that the post will be extended.

The Virtual School Rotherham is seeking an education adviser who will advocate for the education of looked after children (secondary and post 16). The post will support the Virtual School in ensuring that all Rotherham children in care receive a first-class education with high quality outcomes.

Children in care generally do not achieve as well as their peers so you will work alongside schools, foster carers, parents and a range of agencies and professionals to remove barriers to learning to help these young people improve their educational outcomes and life chances. You will help schools identify the most effective use of Pupil Premium Plus funds to ensure SMART aspirational targets are met and accelerated progress is made.
