Clinical Support Specialist
The clinical support specialist assists with the day-to-day operations of the clinical initiatives division. The position coordinates activities with physicians, employees, contractors, and facilities to ensure the success of the division. Manages the implementation of the clinic program as assigned while acting as the subject matter expert and resource for internal and external clients. Promotes quality patient care, ongoing support for the clinic division population by providing guidance, support, care coordination, education and other resource coordination functions as defined by the clinic program.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Proficient computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office
- Able to follow oral and written communication, as well as communicate information to individuals or groups with varying levels of education
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and provides technical support to contractors, employees, physicians, and partners
- Assists contractors & employees with system navigation & troubleshooting of defined systems
- Serves as a liaison; coordinates information between physicians, directors, managers, facilities, contractors, and other key personnel
- Coordinates & provides training for contractors & employees for defined systems and applications
- Manages contractor & employee training programs
- Assists with the dissemination of required clinical information to physicians, clients, employees & contractors
- Serves at the point of contact for day of clinic needs for contractors, employees and physicians
- Assists with the collection of required clinical information for billing external clients
- Performs full range of administrative duties to include but not limited to answering phone calls, email requests, general clerical duties such as organizing, and storing data, and requests for patient s & results
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Education & Experience:
- BA or BS preferred; associate degree required
- Medical Assistant or Medical Technician Certification desirable
- 2-3 years medical experience preferred
