Job Title: Instructional Designer

Hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, EST, with some potential for overtime.

Duration: 6+Months

• We are seeking experienced L&D professionals who either enjoy classroom facilitation, building & supporting learning content in an LMS, or both! Your expertise is needed during our upcoming training season and will be rewarded by working with a dynamic training team to prepare new learners for our tele-sales positions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Complete onboarding and take initiative to build knowledge of the business environment, sales requirements, and learning tools (e.g., LearnSource, RISE, SharePoint)
• Navigate the delivery of training courses using virtual methods (e.g., TEAMs), and associated resources including PowerPoints, job aids, participant guides, resource center, role play scenarios, etc.
• Build relationships and collaborate with training team by participating in meetings, training debriefs, and information sharing; support a positive team environment
• Review prepared learning activities/exercises needed to enable learners to achieve learning objectives (e.g., delivery timeframes, durations, techniques) and answer learner questions in the chat or during breakout sessions
• Identify locations of supporting materials for learning activities (e.g., case studies, quick reference guides, job aids, audio/visual aids, assessments) to assist with learner navigation and ensure daily progress through content
• Capture questions /opportunities and report back to lead trainer and training manager daily
• Participate in tracking of individual learner progress, and be prepared to ‘catch-up’ learners, if instructed to do so
• Facilitate training for assigned role(s), using a prepared facilitators guide and associated materials
• Collaborate with training lead and instructional designer to help provide accurate, relevant, and effective training
• Apply principles of adult learning and training best practices to enable effective and professional training sessions

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED and equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of training and development experience
• 2+ years of experience conducting classroom training and/or seminar/workshop topics
• 2+ Years of curriculum development experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of various training delivery methods (Virtual, Blended, Instructor-Led, Computer-Based, Webinar)
• Advanced experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree
• 2+ years of instructional design experience
• 2+ years of advanced working experience with content authoring tools such as: Captivate, Adobe, Articulate Storyline/Rise, Camtasia, and other authoring tools for web-based training
• Advanced level of skill with Microsoft Office
• 2+ years of experience with Adult Learning Theories
• Advanced knowledge of LMS systems and ability to solve problems and/or articulate learner challenges in order to escalate issues efficiently
• Sales training and development experience
• Insurance training and development experience

Additional Information:

• This is a telecommute position, where you will work from home and be required to have a quiet workspace with a locked door to protect customer information.
