ing to the Director, Operations & Mechanical, the Logistics Specialist is an integral team member of Rocky Mountaineer team. The Logistics Specialist will monitor the usage and stock of merchandise, products, and supplies to ensure availability of product for our teams and for our guests. This position will be responsible to purchase supplies for the train, track shipments, and ensure all invoices pertaining to purchases and shipping are tracked. This position will perform basic administration functions as well as ensuring contractors are performing within their contracted scope of work and communicating with contract leads to ensure all aspects of contracts are being adhered to.
As a Rocky Mountaineer team member, you will be working alongside a diverse group of people who are committed to working together, supporting our values and ensuring we are always on brand as a world class luxury rail tour company. This position will require close coordination with the Procurement Specialist.
This position is deemed Safety Sensitive and pre-employment testing will be required. Final candidates must successfully pass a safety critical medical exam and will undergo medical monitoring as prescribed by Transport Canada. This position requires you to periodically access an active railway area where impaired performance could result in a significant incident affecting the health and safety of team members, guests, the public, property or the environment.
