The Logistics Software Specialist will be responsible for administering and providing technical support to the company’s transportation business software applications. They will also manage problems escalation with external software vendors and support other areas with the IT department. The Logistics Software Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all the company’s applications are running smoothly and support daily company activities in oilfield dispatching.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Drive the success of the software business applications, including but not limited to Microsoft, Trimble (TMW Dispatch and ing), MSSQL, Omnitracs, Maas360.
· Updates key transportation software database files with customer, EDI, carrier, vehicle, and driver information.
· Ensures all department required s, forms and documents are completed in a timely basis.
· Works closely with the Dispatchers/Supervisors to ensure the customer’s needs are being met including the communication of essential pickup and delivery information to the customer, carriers, and drivers.
· Responsible for the efficient and timely entry of all company and customer related data into the company transportation software and/or related software in transportation department.
· Responsible for supporting the assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) goals, including but not limited to, loaded miles percentage, on-time service, asset utilization, scanning accuracy, deadhead avoidance, dwell minimization, TMW accuracy and fuel efficiency.
· Trouble shoot hardware and software errors.
· Follow up with internal and external users to ensure issues are resolved.
· Ensure IT department procedures and protocols are up to date.
· Review and manage access requests.
· Maintain positive working relationships with Drivers, and Supervisors.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience with Trimble TMW software application: Fuel Dispatch, Totalmail, ing SSRS
· Minimum of 2 years of experience with MS SQL.
· Knowledge and Experience with SSRS ing.
· Knowledge of Maas360 and Omnitracs is a plus.
· Oil Transportation business is a plus.
Location: Austin, Texas, Billings, Montana, or Watford City, North Dakota. The position is Hybrid and available for possible calls during the weekends. Travel is less than 10% to other locations.
