Rocknel Fastener Hiring for Junior Networking Engineer Job at Rockford, IL Full Time

Rocknel Fastener has an immediate full-time opening for a Junior Networking Engineer. The ideal Junior Networking Engineer will be a highly motivated, self-starter who enjoys working at a face pace while providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. This is a Junior position, so you work under the direct supervision of a Senior Network Engineer.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• Vendor Certifications are desirable but not essential.
• 2-3 years or more experience in a networking role.
• Understands the issues involved with administering and maintaining corporate infrastructure. including network connectivity, internet access, cloud control systems, email, VoIP, etc.
• Understands the issues involved in administering and maintaining LAN/WAN systems.
• Ability to communicate with management, internal staff, and external clients effectively. regarding IT-related information and does so in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists in supporting applications, internal servers, switches, routers, user desktops, etc.
• Assists with backups, archiving, and troubleshooting.
• Helps install and improve computer software and network equipment.
• Assists in the administration and maintenance of Internal Systems programs as well as operating systems.
• Assists with asset management and promotes responsible usage and care of equipment.
• Answers/resolve trouble calls/emails and work orders submitted into the Help Desk tracking software.
• Displays a positive attitude.
• Demonstrates flexibility in day-to-day work.
• Actively applies feedback received and strives to improve performance.
• Accurately completes and submits status reports timely.
• Participates in the implementation and support of IT-related policies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year

Schedule:
