ARE YOU A PASSIONATE GUITAR TEACHER IN SAN JOSE LOOKING TO EXPAND YOUR TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES?

RockHome Lessons is home to a team of rockstar music educators who have a passion for making a positive impact through music. Founded in 2009, RockHome offers live in-person and online music lessons to kids ages 5-17. We teach kids how to rock in music and life!

If you love teaching kids music and are looking to join a company with competitive pay and flexible hours, RockHome may be the perfect part-time position for you.

We are looking for Guitar instructors (if you can teach beginner-intermediate piano that is a plus!) for hire in and around the San Jose area. Our students are located in various parts of San Jose.

*You will need a car to drive to and from lessons as our lessons take place in the students home. You are not required to take on students if their location is too far. Average drive times may range from 15-25 minutes per lesson one way.

**Must be available at least 2-3 days a week from 4-8pm to dedicate to teaching.

Pay range: $43-50/hr based on teaching experience, education background, and other factors. Additional benefits may include paid recitals, instructor meetings, and more.

• You aren’t available at least 2-3 days a week from 4-8pm to dedicate to teaching
• You aren’t 100% committed to your students growth and progress
• You do not have a genuine love for teaching

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a car to drive to and from lessons. *Proficient computer/webcam required for online lessons.
• Must have at least 1 year teaching experience.
• Must be able to teach rock, pop, and other contemporary music styles
• Must have strong communication skills and a genuine love for teaching
• Must have fun/upbeat attitude and get along with kids well
• Must have at least 2-3 days available per week to dedicate to teaching. Usual teaching hours are weekdays from 4-8pm
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• MUST live and be based out of San Jose. Please do not apply if you live outside of San Jose.
