Job Purpose: The Director of Finance Operations position is accountable for the finance operations of the company. This position oversees and supports: Special Projects, Human Resources, Controller, and Accounting Operations. This position has five roles to serve: Owner of Financial Operating Plan, Finance Quantity, Finance Quality, Finance Innovation, and Finance Sales Support.

The Director of Finance Operations will be a part of the senior leadership team and will be expected to collaborate peer-to-peer weekly and quarterly to ensure the Rockfarm Operating Plan (ROP), is implemented.

Our integrated TMS coupled with the Rockfarm team drives waste and cost from our clients’ supply chains enabling our clients to deliver a more competitive product to the market place.

Principal Accountabilities:

Financial Operating Plan – Establish P&L Goals

• Work with department heads to establish quantity costs for their area reviewed monthly
• Work with executive ownership to establish monthly approvals of changes in the Financial Operation Plan
• Monthly reporting of the plan vs actual to department stakeholders
• Prepare month-end financials to the investors
• Support the business in financial modelling of “what if” scenarios

Finance Quantity – Deliver the P&L

• Human Resources quantity
• Special projects quantity
• Controller quantity
• Accounting quantity

Finance Quality – Deliver the Customer Promise

• Human Resources quality
• Special projects quality
• Controller quality
• Accounting quality
• Risk mitigation

Finance Innovation – Question and Improve the Systems, Automation, and Processes

• Human Resources process and system improvement
• Special projects process and system improvement
• Controller process and system improvement
• Accounting process and system improvement
• Represent Finance in the Rockfarm Innovation Committee
• Improve the business intelligent reporting in the department

Finance Sales Support – Client Facing

• Support business development as a finance resource in the proposal stage of the sales process
• Represent and own the Finance department role in the new customer onboarding projects
• Represent and own the Finance department role in mergers and acquisitions

Desired Qualifications: This candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.  Preference will be given to candidates with the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations. This position requires certified Excel Pro and able to execute at the highest level in Excel.

Working Conditions: Primary office environment. Five percent travel to support roles. Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.

Profit Share: 7 Shares of Leadership profit share pool paid quarterly

Pay: $75,000.00 – $101,500.00 per year
