Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience or equivalent competency programming in C#, F#, PHP, Python, Java, JavaScript, Progress, or similar object-oriented/functional programming language
• 2 years of experience in software testing and design
• 2 years of experience in database management as it relates to software development
• Experience in using software development frameworks and platforms, such as .NET Core, Node.JS, Angular, or React
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite

Job Summary

In this role, you’ll join a highly motivated team of technologists and be responsible for developing software services. You’ll start by building infrastructure templates then work in logic and functionality as you collaborate with the team. You may be enhancing an existing component or building one from the ground up. You’ll use platforms like .NET, Java and Python daily and should be open to learning other toolsets as well. You’ll collaborate with other engineers for feedback on code and understand when to issue a pull request to push code out to production.

Agile processes are established by the SAFe framework, so experience with this type of environment is ideal. You must be able to communicate effectively, think strategically and be comfortable with giving and receiving feedback. Expect regular meetings where you can check in with the team for updates, followed by plenty of blocked-off focus time for you to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop or modify software by using various programming languages depending on the need of the product(s)
• Modify existing software to fix errors, improve the overall quality and functionality or update integrations with other software
• Analyze user needs to determine how software should be built or if existing software should be modified
• Develop and/or perform software automated testing procedures, solutions and frameworks to ensure software functions as needed
• Translate business requirements and specifications into usable and scalable software
• Process and understand capabilities and limitations of data outputs from the software
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Assist with delivery estimates
• Determine and execute software deployment process
