A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ADMITTING CLERK

The Admitting Clerk will ensure the quality of patient registrations to the hospital by obtaining thorough and accurate information in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires the Representative to interact with ancillary departments and staff to ensure quality care for all patients. The clerk also serves as a patient resource in matters concerning financial/payment arrangements and will discuss financial matters for up-front collections or payment arrangements when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned by the access supervisor or access director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous clerical or medical office experience
