Roch Valley Limited Hiring for Credit Controller/Accounts Assistant Job at Heywood, England Full Time

Roch Valley Ltd is looking to appoint a Credit Controller to be based at their head office in Heywood. Roch Valley is a well established manufacturer and retailer of Dancewear and Gymnastics wear. We are looking for someone to join our busy finance team to ensure customer accounts are managed efficiently and payments are received promptly.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Responsible for credit control within the business. Pursuing outstanding debts by phone, email and letter and keeping an accurate log of all communication
• Taking customer payments, posting cash receipts and balancing the sales ledgers
• Dealing with customer queries, sending out invoices and liaising with sales and warehouse departments in respect of order queries
• Checking and sending of customer statements
• Reconciliation of the main bank accounts
• Ad-hoc tasks to assist the Company Accountant with the production of the monthly management accounts

Skills Required:

• Previous experience within a credit control role or similar
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise and communicate effectively at all levels across the business and externally
• Customer handling and telephone skills
• The ability to work to deadlines
• Be focused, show initiative and have good attention to detail
• Very proficient in Excel
• AAT accounting qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential
