Spiritual Life Teacher – Middle and Upper School

Puerto Rico’s premier English-language college preparatory school, is actively seeking highly qualified teachers for our secondary school Spiritual Life Program. The Spiritual Life, with an expected start date of November 1, 2022, teaches middle and/or high school spiritual life classes, supports the spiritual life/chapel program, and works with the Chaplain, students and community as part of the service learning and leadership program in middle and high school. The school, affiliated with the United Methodist Church, offers a warm and inclusive environment that welcoming of all faiths and belief systems.

Ideal candidates will have classroom teaching experience (or related experience – young pastor, etc.) in middle school grades, take joy in working with and connecting with students (particularly adolescents) as they explore and understand their personal beliefs, and passion and experience leading and maintaining service learning initiatives.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Master’s preferred
• Teaching experience in an independent school, or similar experience working with students as part of an education program, preferred

Position will be full-time until May 2023, with the opportunity to extend based on need and performance.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: From $30,500.00 per year
