Kings College London are partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell to recruit a Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed term basis. Kings College London are seeking a forward-thinking Management Accountant who will provide an effective business partnering and management accounting services to range of sizeable departments an bring effective financial business skills to the finance function by improving work processes and to drive financial responsibility and skill down into the individual teams.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Provide financial reporting, including income, expenditure and campaign activity reports as well as ad hoc reports, to a range of audiences.
• Design, develop and implement systems to manage, record and report fundraising activity across the College and on other income streams and present this appropriately within reporting.
• Production of management accounts which supports university-level reporting.
• Building reports to perform detailed income analysis.
• Support the production of future year budgets for the departments.
• Working with Gift Processing managers to ensure that 100% of income is banked to the correct organisation, directed in accordance with donors wishes and that procedures are fraud resistant.
• Development and production of the reports to partners.

Key Skills & Experience:

Essential Criteria:

• Professional membership or working towards completion of a professional accountancy qualification.
• Methodical and detail-oriented, maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders in a professional and assured manner.
• Clear and confident presentation skills.
• Experienced using excel and modelling to manipulate data and create comprehensive reports for Senior Management Teams and senior stakeholders.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience of university accounting
• Understanding of Higher Education related policies and future challenges
• Experience of using Business World (Agresso)
• Comfortable in using CRM systems and building reports to perform detailed income analysis

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: £38,826.00-£44,427.00 per year
