Robertson Bell Hiring for Interim Finance Business Partner – Local Authority Job at Bedford, England Full Time

Robertson Bell are supporting a Local Authority, based just North of Home Counties, to recruit an interim Finance Business Partner on an initial 12 month contract, with potential extension up to 15 months.

This role will be worked predominantly remotely, with only ad-hoc travel required into my clients offices.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading on the annual budget-setting for designated business areas.
• Providing a comprehensive business partnering service to budget holders, and other stakeholders, monitoring budgets and delivering user-friendly financial reports.
• Developing and maintaining financial models used for financial forecasts and plans.
• Producing monthly management accounts, highlighting variances and preparing commentaries for non-financial stakeholders.
• Support the closure of accounts at Year End.
• Managing the accounting and reporting of income and expenditure, including grants.

You will need:

• At least two years’ experience working within a similar, business partnering or management accounting, role for a Local Authority.
• To be a CCAB, or CIMA qualified accountant.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Supervisory or managerial responsibility.
