Exciting opportunity!!!! Robert Half Lexington is sourcing and hiring for Dispatch and Logistic Clerks for a local area Georgetown, KY company.

This is a 2nd shift opening with hours of Monday through Friday 5pm-2am with overtime! The Dispatch and Logistics Clerk will perform the below duties for a great Logistics company in the Georgetown area!

Job Overview :

As a Dispatch Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely distribution of goods or services to customers or clients.

You will be responsible for coordinating schedules, dispatching drivers or service technicians, and maintaining communication between various stakeholders.

Responsibilities :

Dispatch Operations : Coordinate the allocation of drivers or service technicians to delivery or service tasks, ensuring optimal routing and scheduling for efficiency.

Communication : Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers, technicians, and customers to provide updates on delivery or service status, address inquiries, and resolve issues as they arise.

Routing : Plan and optimize delivery routes to minimize travel time, fuel consumption, and environmental impact while meeting delivery deadlines.

Monitoring : Track the progress of deliveries or service appointments and proactively address any delays or issues that may arise during transit.

Documentation : Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including delivery schedules, driver logs, and customer interactions.

Problem Solving : Identify and resolve logistical challenges, such as traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, or customer concerns, in a timely and efficient manner.

Customer Service : Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly.

Safety : Promote and enforce safety protocols and compliance with relevant regulations to maintain a safe working environment for drivers and technicians.

Equipment Maintenance : Coordinate maintenance and repairs for delivery vehicles or service equipment as needed.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in logistics or a related field is a plus).

Proven experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in using dispatch software and GPS systems.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.

Knowledge of local traffic regulations and geography.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
