The Company

The organisation are a small but welcoming organisation with very solid foundations and a great business model. They have offices close to the CBD but offer part working from home arrangements too.

The Role

This is a busy, varied and challenging part time opportunity for a Senior Bookkeeper and Finance Manager. It will replace the current incumbent who is set to retire after many years with the organisation.

Due to the size of the business, the role is all encompassing and completely autonomous. It offers challenge and variety within a great structure.

Some of your responsibilities will include, but not limited to;

• Management of Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Prepare and process Payroll and related expenses
• Bank and general ledger reconciliation
• Cashflow management
• Management of stocks and investments
• Monthly and end of year financial closing and reports
• Assist Executive Manager with budgets
• Coordinate annual audit and accounts with external auditors
• Manage Associations Charity
• Prepare and lodge BAS/IAS, Super and Workcover
• Prepare and lodge company secretarial/ASIC documents
• Daily use of MYOB
• Management of Association Membership
• Support with procurement and HR related work

This is a long term, permanent opportunity and will be worked part time over 22.5 hours per week. Ideally you will be able to work 4 days a week though 3 may also be considered. You will split your time between working from home and the offices close to the CBD.

Interviews will be taking place from the week beginning the 26th of September with a start date pencilled in for late October at the latest if you are successful.

Your Profile

In order to be considered you must meet the following criteria:

• Prior experience as a Senior Bookkeeper or Small Company Accountant/Finance Manager
• Specifically seeking part time hours and comfortable working 22.5 hours per week
• Strong Bookkeeping experience
• Able to reach the CBD/inner suburbs 2 days per week
• Problem solving capability
• Exposure to using MYOB
• Experience processing payroll and managing shares and investments
• Comfortable getting into the weeds with accounts payable and receivable
