Your Opportunity

We’ve partnered with a Tech start-up based in the CBD to provide them with a hands-on Financial Controller. Our client operates on a global basis and are responsible for products that feature in the daily lives of people around the world.

This is an opportunity to shape the finance function and grow it as you see fit.

You will be responsible for developing financial strategy, preparing, and presenting high-level financial reporting, budgets, consolidations, analysis, BAS, forecasts, month, and year end closing, ensuring all insurances are kept up to date, regulatory reporting, and ensuring all technical issue for compliance are resolved.

You will also manage Payroll and transactional teams and work closely with senior level stakeholders in Australia and on a global basis to share reports and analysis.

This is an incredibly hands-on role, and you will be the main point of contact in finance; with a clear goal to grow and develop the function.

This is very much a role for a doer, and not a reviewer.

We’re looking for a fully qualified accountant (CA/CPA) who understands the nuances of working within a smaller environment and liaising with partners who are based outside of Australia. You’ll have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in finance positions with a thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures. You must possess excellent communication skills. We’d also like you to have previous experience of team management as you will be tasked with growing the team. You’ll be able to manage competing priorities and be a self-starter capable of driving the finance function forward.

Any exposure to Netsuite would be highly regarded.

If you have worked within a start-up or a Fintech, then that would be helpful, but it is very much not a deal breaker.
