The Company

An awarding winning institution, our ASX-listed client is one of Australia’s leading food manufacturing businesses. Serving thousands of local and international customers, the business is well-renowned for its premium products and talented management.

This is an exciting time for the business as it progresses through a systems implementation to modernise its already efficient back-office workflow.

The Role

This a twelve-month Fixed Term Contract with an opportunity to become permanent. The role is backfilling a financial accountant who has been seconded onto a systems project. However, senior management have indicated this position will likely become permanent given growth in the business. You will work across the following responsibilities:

• Assist with the Month-End and Year-End Close process
• Monitor and manage cash-flow requirements as they evolve
• Liaise with the treasury manager to understand new and existing financial hedges; Report and account for derivative positions
• Assist with compiling documents and communicate with auditors, regulatory bodies and the Australian Taxation office as necessary
• Inventory accounting and management
• Lodge BAS, Payroll and FBT returns
• Compose monthly treasury reports in collaboration with the FM and treasury team; Present to executive management and the audit committee
• Bank reconciliations

The business provides a flexible environment, with work from home 2 days a week an option for all members of the team.

Your Profile

• CA Or CPA accreditation is ideal but not necessary
• Previous experience with hedge accounting or FX management
• A robust understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and an articulate written voice
