Robert Half Hiring for Finance Officer (Billing) Job at Melbourne Full Time

The Company

The organisation are expanding rapidly and can offer a very real opportunity for incoming employees to grow and develop within the company. Offices are located towards Melbourne’s eastern suburbs but working from home is an option part of the week. Recent acquisitions have fuelled the growth for this business and they are looking for an ambitious and dedicated Finance Officer for this opportunity. Position is initially an ongoing contract but has strong potential to become permanent.

The Role

This is initially a 6 month position but with capacity to extend and become permanent. The role sits within the core finance team and reports directly to the Finance Manager. Interviews will be taking place in early August and we are looking for an immediate start thereafter. You will support the wider accounting team and focus predominantly on billing tasks initially:

Typical day to day duties will involve:

• Manage billing for some of the company’s large corporate accounts
• Liaise with Account Managers across the business
• Process accounting journals
• Manage large data sets
• Daily use of excel (pivot tables, v look ups, sum ifs)
• Support with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Investigating and resolving any billing discrepancies

This role will grow and develop as the company continues to expand. We are targeting ambitious Finance and Billing Officers who want to continue on the upward curve of their careers.

It’s a fast paced and ever changing environment which requires a strong work ethic and ability to hit the ground running. The position will start by mid August at the latest.

Your Profile

You will have a background in Accounting and Finance with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

• Prior experience with complex billing issues
• Accounts Receivable experience in a mid-large company
• Strong excel skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of debits and credits
• Able to start quickly without a notice period
