The Company

Robert Half has partnered with a successful Australian owned technology retailer to recruit a skilled Assistant Accountant. This brilliant role is very involved and will bring new challenges and rewards each day as you balance a range of transactional and end of month duties alongside your Accounts Manager. This company offers you a multi-faceted, opportunity to expand your skill and put a personal stamp on an autonomous and pivotal role.

The Role

Prepare to be challenged in a role that requires high level communication with both internal/external stakeholders and customers, as well as an ability to take full ownership of the accounting function. With the use of your accounting skills, you involved in everything from accounts payable and receivable, preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings through to bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliations.

Your Skills & Experience

• At least one years of exceptional accounting experience.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics or related field.
• Brilliant organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritise tasks.
• Exceptional experience with MYOB or MYOB Advanced Business (desirable).
• Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines.

You offer a brilliant combination of accounting and technical skills, with a creative flair to interpret information and offer initiatives to streamline the accounting and reporting process. You are a numbers person, yet you communicate effectively with all non-financial internal and external stakeholders, and you can work seamlessly without supervision.
