The Opportunity

A new opportunity exists for a Graduate Accountant to join our friendly and collaborative Finance team based in our Melbourne office.

Reporting to the Accountant in our Melbourne office, the responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Supporting the region’s monthly invoicing process
• Processing of Accounts Payable transactions for the region
• Assist in monthly forecasting and yearly budgeting process
• Assist in month-end reporting and journal posting
• Assist in updating project related financial data in the project management system
• Ensuring the integrity of financial accounting inputs/outputs
• Maintenance of absolute confidentiality regarding HR and commercially sensitive information
• Ensuring the production of high-quality work and that professional standards are maintained
• Controlling and maintaining the filing of documents and data associated with your work
• Using your initiative to develop productivity improvements to current administrative and commercial practices

What you will bring to the role

As the successful candidate you will be a motivated, conscientious individual who takes pride in their work, shows attention to detail, and enjoys being part of a dynamic team.

Naturally, you will possess good communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

The successful candidate should also be willing to be hands-on in processing creditor and debtor invoices, banking transactions etc.

Preferably we are seeking applicants who have recently graduated from university.
