Finance is responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable; financial accounting, budgeting and reporting; payroll and superannuation; and contributes to the financial management of projects.

About the Role

The Financial Analyst – Informit is a trusted adviser, who will add value and assist the Informit team to make informed decisions.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst – Informit will be responsible for the provision of support and analysis, harnessing our information and bring forward insights that accelerate decisions using existing data from the business systems to direct areas of focus in driving growth.

The Financial Analyst will work with the leaders of the Informit business in a collaborative environment to help drive change and create operational efficiencies. Key to this role will be financial management and operational analysis to support business decisions. The role is responsible for the provision of provide ‘real time’ financial support and analysis to operations and management, whilst ensuring compliance with regulation.

The Financial Analyst be responsible for assisting key stakeholders in understanding their financials and the financial impact of strategic business decisions, alongside with driving the budgeting and forecasting process, the completion of management reports and financial modelling and analysis.

The role will also have group wide financial accounting responsibilities and will also work closely with the Associate Director – Finance on several key finance projects.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
• CA or CPA qualified membership (or working towards)
• Experience working with non- financial stakeholders and linking operational decisions to financial outcomes
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Ability to work autonomously, ensuring deliverables are met
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Advanced MS Office skills especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workload
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships, negotiate and influence a variety of stakeholders at all organisational levels
• Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to implement new or improved processes to assist with insight generation
• Experience in the use of financial management technology and information systems, ideally Workday Financial and Adaptive Planning
• Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and best practice principles

Desirable:

• Experience in the Education industry
