• Full-time, Continuing position
• Salary Level HEW 5 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
• Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University

About The Position:

Finance Officer Accounts Receivable will maintain accounts receivable ledger/records, perform a range of general and administrative duties to ensure that revenue is secured, and any discrepancies resolved. Duties will cover a range of invoicing scenarios using the Workday ERP system.

As an A/R Finance Officer, you will provide range of services within the scope of this role to both internal and external customers using accounting methodologies, accepted accounting principles, regulatory and legislative requirements and RMIT policies and procedures.

• Working knowledge and understanding of accounting theory, principles, policies and procedures or demonstrated accounts receivable experience utilising financial management technological solutions, preferably Workday or other ERP systems in a large organisation.
• Demonstrated experience making effective and timely decisions by applying data, problem-solving and analytical skills to solve issues requiring sound judgment, discretion, and tact to achieve desired outcomes.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, communication skills (both written and verbal) and organizational skills to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated ability to assess priorities, apply and interpret financial policies and procedures.
• Proven ability to provide responsive, quality, and timely customer service with an ability to adapt to a growing and changing environment.

Qualifications:

A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in a financial services role in a large, complex organisation.
