  • Salary Level HEW 5 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
  • Based at the the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University
About You
For this role, you have account receivable knowledge, a degree in accounting and exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills; you maintain a good working relationship with both internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, you are flexible in your approach and adjust based on the needs of the stakeholders. Overall you are keen to learn, have a can do attitude and are an invaluable team member.
Position Summary
Finance Officer Accounts Receivable will maintain accounts receivable ledger/records, perform a range of general and administrative duties to ensure that revenue is secured, and any discrepancies resolved and be the lead in the finance systems integrations into the ERP and de-scoping activities. Duties will cover a range of invoicing scenarios.
You will provide range of complex administrative financial services within the scope of this role and in relation to finance systems integrations activities using accounting methodologies, accepted accounting principles, regulatory and legislative requirements and RMIT policies and procedures.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
  • Working knowledge and understanding of accounting theory, principles, policies and procedures or demonstrated accounts receivable experience utilising financial management technological solutions, preferably Workday or other ERP systems in a large organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience making effective and timely decisions by applying data, problem-solving and analytical skills to solve issues requiring sound judgment, discretion and tact to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, communication skills (both written and verbal) and organizational skills to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated ability to assess priorities, apply and interpret financial policies and procedures.
  • Proven ability to provide responsive, quality and timely customer service with an ability to adapt to a growing and changing environment.
