Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager with a strong background in building scalable, high-quality, and high-performance cloud-based applications and services on the Microsoft technology stack. The Software Development Manager is responsible for managing a small growing team of experienced software developers building and maintaining customer facing web applications and integrations.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform code reviews with team members

• Provide technical direction and recommendations

• Collaborate with internal and external customers, product managers and business units

• Own your team’s deliverables and ship high quality, maintainable software

• Build and maintain a healthy prioritized backlog in alignment with the team goals

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)

• Experience leading or managing a small team of developers

• Proven results-oriented person with a focus on delivery in a high-velocity environment

• Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project

• 7+ years of experience with custom data driven web application development using T-SQL, C#, and .NET/.NET Core technology

• 5+ years of Microsoft Azure development experience

• Proficient in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Telerik, Kendo, MVC, JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS, HTML5, Blazor and other languages or frameworks

• Experience using T-SQL with an ability to write SQL queries, functions, stored procedures, and triggers

• Strong RESTful web services knowledge

• Customer integrations and EDI experience (API, AS2, FTPS, XML, X12)

• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

• Ability to write clean, readable, reusable code

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Azure DevOps

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, energetic and professional demeanor, and desire to continually learn new skills and technology

• Cold Storage 3PL experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $135,000.00 – $155,000.00 per year
