We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with high personal standards to work as a production technician in our Hard-Coating. The Hard–Coating Lab Technician is a technical resource in the Coating Process and is a key resource ensuring successful operation of the Coating department. The successful candidate will acquire and maintain a detailed understanding of the product, process and equipment, and maintain a high level of quality control at all times. You will be ambitious, hard-working and enjoy working as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Excellent visual acuity
• Manual dexterity is essential
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment would be an asset
• Job is hands-on with lifting, sand blasting and other mechanical tasks at times
• Aptitude with machinery is considered an asset
• Knowledge of optical theory and lens production is an asset, but not a requirement
• Excellent English communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Education: · High School or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience: 3 to 5 years experience required.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
Salary: From $17.00 to $19.48 per hour (Includes Premium)

• Painting, Coating & Spraying Machine Operators: 1 year (preferred)
• industrial painting: 1 year (preferred)
