Riverside Hiring for Senior Finance Assistant Job at Liverpool, England Full Time

The difference you’ll make

You’ll support the Financial Accounting Team by carrying out a range of complex, non-standard financial activities; including account reconciliations, preparation and inputting of journals for the Group, all intercompany reconciliations as well as component and capital finance accounting. Quality checking standard financial transactions and providing support to the Finance Processing teams as subject matter experts for balance sheet transactions will also form a part of this role. In addition, you’ll assist with the preparation of VAT returns in accordance with HMRC guidelines, CIS submissions and Year End Financial Statements including audit schedules and working papers as well as maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers. In order to deliver an excellent service, resolve issues and queries and escalating for line management intervention, you would have to develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.

So, who are you?

We’re looking for an advanced user of MS Excel with sound working knowledge of financial controls and working towards an AAT qualification or equivalent. If you already have an AAT qualification, that would be an added advantage. Results and customer focused with excellent communication skills and the ability to take ownership of tasks. High attention to detail, the ability to work well under pressure, deliver to strict deadlines and manage conflicting priorities are also essential requirements for this role. You’re also someone who is able to work flexibly to meet business requirements and a team player. Although not essential, experience of working in a housing environment would be desirable.
