UG Equipment Operator

Safety

  • IS familiar with OSHA Standards 1910.269 & 1926 subpart V.
  • Understands the use and care of all required personal protective equipment.
  • Knows the minimum approach distance for the voltage involved.
  • Understands the wearing of FR clothing.
  • Is trained in first aid.
  • Properly trained Back yard machines.

Knowledge/Work Methods

  • Is able to operate an auger truck loading, hauling, and setting poles in de- energized/energized lines.
  • Is able to operate a wire puller and tensioner.
