An amazing opportunity for an established IT Systems Administrator to develop in an established and growing company, where you will be responsible for ensuring systems are working, are secure, monitored and backed up. Working with the IT Infrastructure Manager to ensure the infrastructure is being run smoothly.

The company is a family-owned business managing assets worth billions of clients per year. They are a multi-million pound turned business and they are specialist in insurance, investment, and financial support services. Due to organic growth, they are now looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join their London team.

In this role you will be responsible for assisting the IT Infrastructure on delivering successful IT change projects and function as a technical escalation point for the service desk team, being able to lead the team. You will be able to accountable for the systems architecture, planning and implementing when necessary. This role provides the opportunity to work hybrid, working 2 days at home and 3 days in the office.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an IT Systems Administrator as well as being able to work in a team to deliver projects and provide excellent customer service. Have a good knowledge of Windows Servers and desktops including networking. Experienced in technologies such Azure, Active Directory, Office 365, and Group policy. Having worked in a VMWare environment.

The person

• 2 + year’s experience working as a IT Systems Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of VMware, Windows Server 10, Azure and Active Directory
• Previous experience in managing and working in a team to deliver IT projects (server, network, cloud)
• Experience working in a ITIL framework
• Team player, reliable, enthusiastic and eager to learn

The role:

• Overseeing 3rd line escalations and ensuring tickets are picked up according to SLAs and KPIs, acting as the technical escalation point for the service desk team.
• Working with the IT Infrastructure manager on planning technical resource requirements for projects
• Ensuring the IT infrastructure is being managed efficiently.
• Implementing the change control process for the company. Including ensuring the safety of any server and network device change
