Ripple of One Hiring for Financial Education/ Career Coach/ Budgeting/-Ripple of One at Seneca, SC Full Time

Overall Purpose of the Position: To give the volunteers and the participants support and oversee the financial literacy program in order to empower participants to be self-sufficient and financially stable. Build and maintain relationships with community partners to grow and continue our internship program with the assistance of our Workforce Development Committee.

Educational and Experiential Criteria

• Able to communicate effectively with BOTH the volunteers and participants

• Able to problem solve quickly and effectively

• At least 1 year experience working in the field of financial literacy. Experience in Workforce Development is a plus.

Bachelor degree in related field OR 2 years of experience working with people of low income

This position will manage all aspects of the participant budgeting process including:

• Managing the volunteer staff of financial coaches:

• Support during the course of the program

• Updates to supporting documentation and tools

• Monthly communication with Financial Coaches & Community Partners

• Maintain log of volunteer hours served

• Provide resources for to FC to aid overall success of participants

• Bringing prospective participants up to speed on Ripple’s Budgeting requirements and teaching financial literacy ( Young Adults 17- 21, and Parents in RoO program)

• Teach financial literacy to participants. Ex. Budgeting, Debt reduction, savings, good & bad credit, path to home ownership etc

• Introduce Ripple’s financial requirements and teach the budgeting process

• Pair new participants up with financial volunteers as needed

• Send out monthly reporting tool to financial coaches and follow up to make sure all meetings have taken place

• Post rewards and savings. Reconcile all accounts

• Send summary and copy of budget to each participants

• Monthly reporting to Program Manager

• Work with graduates or assign volunteer with continued budgeting needs or resources as needed

• If they are participating in our internship program, meet with them monthly to encourage them and keep them on track.

• Manage Oconee County Habitat for Humanity Partnership

• Workforce Development program

• Manage and grow Intern Partners

This Job Is:

Pay: $33,000.00 – $37,000.00 per year
