The Opportunity

We are looking for a Training Advisor to join the Rio Tinto Kennecott, Mine Execution – Loads, Drill & Blast Team to support our Load and Drill training program and related projects.

Key Accountabilities

This role is a great opportunity to influence culture, develop and safely train people across all levels of the Load and Drill team. ing to the Manager – Loads, Drill & Blast, you will:

• Deliver Technical learning and development programs to Rio Tinto employees
• Improve the learning and development course offering by providing learning feedback and suggestions.
• Support the development and implementation of learning and development initiatives.
• Analyze learning needs of customers as required, and provide advice on appropriate solutions.
• Help develop curriculum for technical training programs to be delivered across the business within the Rio Tinto training strategy and commonly agreed core curriculum.
• Supports the development of training packages aligned with Rio Tinto competencies.

What you will bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• 5+ years progressive experience in leadership and training in fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Experience working with/applying best practice as a foundation to facilitating training and development.
• Experience in coaching/consulting with leaders in a professional environment

It will also be beneficial if you have:

• MSHA Surface Instructor (IS) certification.

• Previous experience in designing and implementing training programs.

• Bachelors, Education, Business or Mining related fields, or related experience
• Experience in using learning technologies
• Training Certifications
