This is a role central to all recruitment efforts across the Talent Acquisition team. The main goal is to help create a caring and positive hiring experience for Candidates as well as Hiring Leaders, whereby you will provide support and guidance to both. This entails being aware of and involved in all steps related to recruitment and acting as the main point of contact to the Candidates and Hiring Leaders from the moment the role becomes vacant until the start date of the new hire.

Reporting to the HR Project Leader and working in a collaborative community within the Recruitment Team as a Care Coordinator, you will:

• Work towards your main goal, which is creating a positive experience for Candidates and Hiring Leaders.
• 
  Guide and inform Hiring Leaders through the recruitment process, anticipating and addressing their queries. This includes introducing new leaders to the hiring process, assisting with job postings, interview preparation and follow ups.
• 
  Guide and encourage the Candidates from the first contact with Rio Tinto, up until their recruitment experience is complete (whether they are selected to continue or not) by supporting them through the steps and providing them with an overall view of the process.
• 
  Track and anticipate the status of hiring activities for any given role that needs to be filled, providing visibility and status updates to the Hiring Leader, Talent Acquisition Partners and Candidates.
• 
  Connect with stakeholders involved in the hiring process to ensure timely updates and help remove roadblocks when applicable (Employee Support and Payroll Services, Information Systems & Technology, Mobility, Regional Human Resources Operations, Procurement, Health, Safety and Environment, etc…).
• Continuously seek to have a complete and updated understanding of the recruitment process and related sub-processes.
• 
  Contribute with quantitative and qualitative feedback to support improvements in the hiring process.
• Practice outstanding process governance by ensuring all processes and changes are centrally stored and maintained (i.e. Talent Acquisition job-aids, checklist, communications templates).

What you bring

• High school diploma and a secondary education or 3+ years of work experience in recruitment, human resources, or comparable field.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with providing customer care and/or managing stakeholders expectations.
• A positive attitude and a desire to create a positive experience for people around you.
• You are a responsive and outgoing communicator with a tendency to reach out to others.
• You can anticipate the needs of those around you.
• You demonstrate care, curiosity and courage.
• You have a good understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process and awareness of how the various activities are interconnected & dependent on each other.
• You are self-motivated and have a continuous improvement outlook.
