We are looking for an Analyst – Finance Business Partner to support the Pilbara Mines Finance Business Partner team. The Finance Business Partner team is responsible for the implementation of the Iron Ore strategy, driving transformation across our business, managing our joint venture arrangements, and providing financial and commercial advice through quality analysis and insights.

Reporting to the Manager – Finance Business Partner and working in a collaborative community, you will be:

• Supporting site Finance Business Partners in influencing and delivering an end-to-end financial service.
• Preparing financial analysis reports in assessing operation’s performance.
• Delivering high quality analysis and insight for well informed decisions and improved business performance (OPEX & CAPEX).
• Building commercial acumen with key stakeholders in financial knowledge and improving the understanding of financial implications of decision making.
• Supporting the operations’ delivery of the annual financial plans and rolling forecasts and providing consolidated views of plans/ forecasts.
• Providing high quality reporting and analysis in delivery of improved accuracy of capital planning and forecasting.

What you’ll bring

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
• An accounting qualification (CPA / CA / CIMA) with strong commercial skills and similar experience preferably in a mining environment.
• Exceptional system skills (including data analysis & pivot tables, SAP, Data warehousing tool) plus a demonstrated ability and interest in challenging operational processes to find more effective ways of operating.
• An ability to engage, influence and form productive relationships spanning several layers in the organization.
