About the role

We are looking for an Advisor Indigenous Talent Pipeline to join our team on a 6 month fixed term basis to utilise the data held in our talent database to help create strong, useful pipelines to aid in our upcoming recruitment. This is a unique opportunity to support and enable the employment of Indigenous talent.

Although, you will be reporting to the Superintendent Indigenous Talent, your work will be led by the Global Sourcing Team and you will work very closely with Global Recruitment. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Supporting the build of a strong pipeline of talent for open and upcoming opportunities at Rio Tinto
• To build on existing talent pipeline work and integrate existing pipelined talent into new talent pipelines
• Accurately capture and organise candidate and talent data in a clear and accessible way
• Identifying gaps in the data and working to gather additional information on candidates where required
• Working with the talent sourcing and CSP teams to identify role types to pipeline
• Developing and executing a pipeline engagement nurture strategy

What you’ll bring

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
• High attention to detail and ability to organise high volumes of data
• IT skills around data management and use of MS suite
• An understanding of the mining sector and an overarching understanding of different role types within the industry would be beneficial
• An existing understanding or willingness to understand Indigenous culture and its impact on employment outcomes
