Rimon Law Hiring for Payroll Accountant Job at Idaho Full Time

We are currently seeking to hire a Payroll Accountant to support our corporate functions. This full-time, fully remote role reports directly to the firm’s Assistant Controller and can be done virtually from a home office located anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the recording of revenues and application of payments from clients.
• Be accountable for the accuracy of our commission-based payment calculations.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
• Correspond directly with attorneys and team members regarding compensation questions and requests.
• Innovate efficiencies and improve processes.
• Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
• Maintain employee confidence by keeping payroll information confidential.
• Establish new state and local payroll tax remittance and reporting as we expand into new states as well as investigating and responding to state and local payroll tax inquiries.
• Coordinate with our payroll processor and our benefit providers to ensure proper calculation and funding of employee benefits each pay period and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide input as the company builds a better process and software for recording collections, calculating deductions, and presenting summaries to employees.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience with commission-based payroll administration.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Experience with multi-state, multi-entity payroll administration.
• Moderate to advanced level of understanding of Microsoft Excel.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Experience working in a law firm environment also preferred.
