Right at Home provides caring, compassionate, respectful and high-quality holistic care in Aged, Disability, Transitional, Palliative Care and Hospital in the Home. Right at Home provides a range of care services to assist our aging and aged disability population living independently at home. Above all, we have a genuine sense of caring and are extremely passionate about delivering our services. This position is opening at 24 to 30 hours per week with view of going full time.
Purpose of Position: Recruitment and training of carers, scheduling and monitoring operational performance in accordance with an established plan of human talent acquisition in accordance with Right at Home policies and procedures and all other laws and relevant professional standards. The Recruitment Officer will coordinate all allocated recruitment related activities within the Right at Home service ensuring that a high quality of workers is continually being sourced in line with statutory requirements.
The Recruitment Officer is a ‘mission critical’ responsibility for the provision of qualified and experience care workers to provide services to the company’s clients. This includes the recruitment, training and quality control of carers and the related systems and processes.
In addition to Recruitment (including training, onboarding and compliance) this role will assist with inside sales enquiries and develop relationships with clients and their families.

Qualifications
Educational Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification (HR, Psychology, Management, Employment Law) – Desirable
- Certificate in a specific aged care related discipline (Dementia care) – Desirable
Preferred Skills
Key Selection Criteria:
- Appropriate qualifications and a demonstrated commitment to the Aged Care Sector and the Home and community care environment.
- Australian Federal Police Clearance Certificate
- Proven ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate recruitment needs for the business.
- Knowledge of the Aged Care & Community Care Sector, Continuous Quality Improvement, Legislation, Aged Care Quality Standards, and Aged Care Charter of Rights.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and actively contribute to organisational development
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal/communication skills (written and oral), and an ability to lead and motivate the Care Team in the achievement of organizational goals.
- Demonstrated understanding of the roles and relationships between the Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse, Personal Care Assistance, and Companion Care Workers
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Clients/ significant others and other members of the Care Team.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and promote the safety of clients, self and others, including a knowledge of emergency procedures and Work Health and Safety.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Legislation applicable to the Role of the Enrolled and Registered Nurse in the Aged Care and In-Home Care environment.
