Welding Engineer

We are looking for a first shift Welding Engineer, for our Grand Rapids, MI. location. The successful candidate will have a servant attitude style that aligns with our Mission Statement and Guiding Principles.

Ridgeview Industries is a leading metal stamping, welding and assembly manufacturing company primarily serving the automotive market. Our privately held company, founded upon Christian principles, currently employs approximately 600 team members across 4 plant locations!

Primary responsibilities:

• Provide expertise during fixture quote and design process
• Develop weld parameters for newly launched product
• Provide training to technical staff on newly launched product
• Establish PM task lists and frequency for weld fixtures
• Optimize weld tip life on existing processes
• Optimize cycle time on existing processes
• Troubleshoot welding issues
• Reduce scrap related to welding processes

Qualifications:

• Degree in related field preferred
• Experience working with Fanuc Robots a plus
• Experience in MIG and/or Resistance welding
• Basic computer skills needed
• Eye for detail and accuracy
• Reliable, with high integrity and strong work ethic
• Data driven approach to problem solving and decision making
• Dedicated to the value of team success before individual interest
• Able to communicate with all levels of the organization in a professional manner
