Here at Ridge and Partners we have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Apprentice based at our idyllic headquarters offices with over 200 staff in the grounds of Blenheim Palace – Oxford.
Working as part of our successful Finance team you will play a key role in enabling the team to provide a valuable contribution towards the success of the business.
You will be required to complete a two-year training programme that will cover all aspects of the role and will be delivered through in-house training, as well as day-release or other distance learning methods delivered by the college.
You will complete an Accounts and Finance Assistant Intermediate Apprenticeship within the finance and accounting sector, and you will gain the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Foundation Diploma in Accounting (Level 2).

Role and Responsibilities

  • Review Sub-Consultant and Out-Worker invoices and reverse accruals as required.
  • Manage the timesheet elements of physical credit cards and post Project related costs into Workspace.
  • Prepare Reports to meet business requirements
  • Support the month end fee billing process including accruals, accrual reversals, zero fees and time transfers
  • Complete the Finance Set up for new starters on Workspace and SAGE
  • Reconcile and post Office Petty Cash and Bank Accounts to SAGE
  • Monitor, respond to and forward emails coming into the Finance Email Inbox
  • Maintain the Daily control dashboard
  • Making ad hoc payments via cheque and online banking
  • Holiday Cover as required

Experience and Skills Required

  • A minimum of five GCSEs grade 5-9 which must include English and Maths
  • A-Level in Maths an advantage
  • Desire to pursue a career in Finance.
  • Full driving licence
  • You must be a great communicator, be confident at working independently to deadlines and ideally possess intermediate MS Word and Excel skills.
We ask that you must have a B or above in GCSE Maths in order to meet the demands of the role and the training.

The finance team of 11, led by the Finance Director provides a centralised service for Ridge offices. The team supports strategic and operational business requirements through management of business performance, working capital, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
