RICS Hiring for Test Analyst Job at England Full Time

RICS is seeking an experienced Test Analyst to join the test function of the Technology Department, ensuring quality software deliverables that are fit for business purpose. Supporting and utilising the overall test strategy and toolset, analysts define and follow test plans, create test documentation, perform hands-on testing, and collaborate with other members of the project team. Collaborating with internal and external development is key to all aspects of testing and quality assurance at the RICS.

Key Achievements & Responsibilities

• Advise on QA process at all stages of the SDLC, owning testing functions, deliverables, and strategy.

• Creating comprehensive test plans and scripts, including accurate data outcomes, creative scenario planning, negative testing and setting appropriate acceptance criteria.

• Work as part of a small internal test team.

• Collaborate with and help manage any third-party test resources to ensure quality of test outcomes to agreed standards.

• Work closely with the RICS business, notably in requirement reviews, ensuring defined requirements are agreed, running UAT, and obtaining business sign-off.

• Support BAs and PMs by sharing expertise on system testing principles and review corresponding test scripts.

• Perform manual test execution to required standard within specified tight timeframes.

• Ensure manual testing is performed to the necessary standard.

• Working knowledge of and ability to use ADO (Azure Dev Ops) appropriately.

• Enabling the automation of repetitive work, such as regression testing, where possible.

• Adopt and extend the existing automation framework using Selenium (or equivalent), particularly for Agile based projects.

• Maintenance and consistency of Test Environments.

• Respond to ad hoc requests to update PMO reports on project status.

• Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff.

• Ability to present and run testing and/or training workshops where appropriate.

• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as required for the ongoing success of the company.

Experience Required
Essential

• A good understanding of risk-based testing, and how to manage risk.

• Degree, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent subject

• At least 2 years commercial experience in Test Analyst role, able to demonstrate credible experience in a prior testing role analysing and developing System, Integration and Regression tests.

• Experience of manual testing of software systems

• Experience of maintaining a test environment including basic release and configuration management.

• Experience of testing throughout the full software life cycle, preferably in conjunction with 3rd party suppliers.

• A pragmatic approach to testing, understanding the role of testing within a broader business context.

• Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

• Experience of defect tracking tools, preferably using Azure DevOps

• Experience of test case management tools, preferably Azure DevOps

Highly Desirable

• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation (or above) in Software Testing.

• Detailed knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Customer Experience, Financial & Operations and Dual Write) technologies.

• Automated test tool development, ideally Selenium

• Basic SQL experience, ability to write queries

• Experience of different software development methods – in particular, Agile
