Mid sized general contractor seeks individual to join our team!

Construction industry accounting experience mandatory

Manage subcontractors by: Subcontract processing, Invoices and supporting documentation including insurance certificates.

Accounts Receivable: AIA Invoices, releases and collections. Textura, GCPay knowledge a plus.

Communicate with Warehouse Manager, Purchasing Manager, and Field Management
Support accounting and estimating staff as needed
Assists with the month-, quarter- and year-end closings

Perform additional accounting assignments per Controller’s direction

Oversee inhouse payroll, 100+ full time employees. Prevailing wage and non-union payroll.

Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be a self-starter who can work independently and can also work well with other members of our team
Promptness, accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in a fast paced environment
Strong understanding of construction accounting procedures
Hands-on experience in MS Office – very proficient in Excel
Ability to prioritize and manage workflow with accuracy and speed

Desired Skills and knowledge:

Working knowledge of lien waivers and release processes

General knowledge of commercial insurance as it pertains to certificates of insurance.

Skills

• Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations

• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
• Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software (e.g. SAP)
• Well-organized with ability to prioritize
• Very good communication, written and verbal and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• LCP Tracker knowledge
• Textura, GCPay knowledge
• BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
