We are recruiting a new team member for our finance team. This is a a great opportunity to further your knowledge of management accounting while supporting the wider organisation by delivering our key financial services.

We are looking for

Someone who is experienced in Management Accounting, specifically budgeting and financial reporting but also thrives in a small team environment and open to knowledge sharing. You are able to utilise the Microsoft Office suite and other computer based programs to construct and present the financial data. Your exceptional time management skills, high level written and verbal communication skills will see you excel in this role.

You are flexible and adaptable to the changing environment while still being able to think strategically, understanding the needs of the team and the community and delivering what is required.

We are seeking someone who has:

• Recognised degree in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline
• Current Class C Driver Licence

About the Role

Full time: 70 hour fortnight

Salary: Range from $86,070 to $98,982 pa + 10% super

The primary purpose of the role is to lead staff to provide quality financial systems, financial reporting and budgets in line with Council’s delivery and operational plans.

This includes:

• Developing financial reports and provide analytical support to senior management as required
• Helping with the coordination the preparation of the financial plan (budget) component of the delivery plan and long term financial plan
• Preparing Council’s quarterly financial reviews statements and associated presentations
• Assisting in the preparation of Councils annual financial statements
