We are looking to recruit three Education, Health and Care Coordinators to join our amazing team and help play a central role in achieving positive outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs in Wandsworth.
About the service
The Special Needs Assessment Service (SNAS) works on behalf of children and young people with severe and complex special educational needs and their parents. The team is responsible for ensuring that the Local Authority’s statutory responsibilities towards children and young people are met. We currently administer around 2300 Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans, ensuring the efficient and timely assessment of children and young people aged 0 to 25 and managing and reviewing their EHC plans going forward.
SNAS has undergone a rapid transformation and we are looking for passionate and proactive individuals to join us moving forward with continuous improvement. The work is interesting, varied and can be challenging at times, although very rewarding. Come and join us on our transformation journey!
About the role
EHC Coordinators provide comprehensive casework management, and these posts will initially be part of the review team primarily responsible for managing the annual review process, amending EHC plans and phase transfers. You will be supported by EHC assistants and/or apprentices.
