The position is new and we are an ambitious organisation that has over 3 other businesses and brands but the main business account you will work on is Women Like Me as well as Marvel Recruit, Mavis Amankwah Brand and Rich Visions.

As part of a small team, the post holder will assist with the day-to-day finance function with the support of the Director. You will play an active role in supporting the delivery of the organisation’s strategy, particularly in relation to financial management, sustainability, and growth. The role is ideally suited to an individual who thrives on a new challenge and can help to grow an organisation to scale and at pace.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting with day-to-day management of the finance function
• Assist to implement effective controls to support the integrity of financial information working with our external accountants and payroll advisers
• Preparing journal entries, payroll, balance sheet reconciliations, prepaid expenses, depreciation and monthly closing schedules, ensure financial data is accurate & ad hoc reporting
• Assist with reviews in terms of business performance and provide effective, accurate, and timely accounting and performance measurement information to the Finance Core Team, and Board
• Assist to prepare and review monthly management accounts for all the businesses
• Help prepare and present bi- annual budgets in conjunction with the Director and other project managers, review, and report on those budgets on a regular basis, particularly the income and expenditure of the business and variances to the budget
• Assist to prepare monthly rolling forecasts, including ongoing capital forecasting
• Assist to prepare statutory accounts and help manage the year-end process which you will prepare to our accountant as well as VAT
• Prepare and work on payroll to present to accountants
• Assist with working on the organisations compliance and risk management in terms of finance
• Support where required on IT systems development and implementation of financial software including XERO and other project management and HR packages

Salary: £18,000.00-£21,000.00 per year
