Basic Function: Chief fundraiser for the Association and Education Foundation through grants, sponsorships and donations. Serves as back-up trainer for ServSafe Food Safety Training as well as other hospitality training programs.Grows themission of the RI Hospitality Education Foundation to develop, support, and promote career growth opportunities within the hospitality industry to benefit students, organizations, and the economy by working with youth, unemployed adults, and incumbent employees.
Specific Responsibilities:
· Manage and measure all Education Foundation workforce development initiatives and programs.
· Research and apply for grant-funding that supports the work of the RI Hospitality Education Foundation in accordance with our grant strategy.
· Develop and implement fundraising efforts to include events, sponsorships and donations.
· Manage RI Hospitality Employee Relief Fund and Scholarship Funds.
· Develop and implement a measurable plan to increase the number of students trained in RIHA/RIHEF courses.
· Serve as Trainer for our hospitality training programs.
· Become a Trainer for our ServSafe Food Safety program.
· Develop and grow partnerships with local community organizations and state departments to service the workforce pipeline. Examples of organizations include CCAP, Foster Forward, Genesis Center, etc.
· Launch and manage Kids Live Well program sponsored by National Restaurant Association.
· Develop strategies that meet the needs of our emerging workforce and facilitate employer partnerships and job opportunities.
· Collaborate with the RI Department of Education, RI Department of Labor & Training, Governors Workforce Board, Higher Education, Department of Corrections, Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities & Hospitals, Small Business Development Center, and other state and local agencies as needed.
· Outreach to Hispanic business community to identify collaborative partnerships that meet the needs of the Hispanic foodservice community.
· Build relationships with hospitality business owners and managers, job seekers, and representatives from the RI Department of Labor & Training.
· Pursue non-traditional employee recruitment sources such as refugees, at-risk youth, or second-chance candidates.
· Works closely with Legal Counsel to deliver regulatory training.
· Seek out best-practices among industry colleagues, other trade associations and local workforce organizations.
· Deliver education and training courses offered by the Hospitality Training Academy.
· Adapt best practices from corporate training models to Hospitality Training Academy.
· Create new partnerships and deliver career awareness opportunities to K-12 students with a specific focus on middle school grades. (e.g. guest speakers, field trips, demos, job shadow experiences)
· Manage Culinary Arts (ProStart) and Hospitality Management (HTMP) school programs to include national data reporting, student and teacher surveys, career awareness opportunities and work experience.
· Deliver professional development opportunities for high school teachers.
· Manage and execute annual competition for ProStart and HTMP students.
· Manage and execute annual high school student career conference.
· Develop and grow relationships with higher education institutions.
Other Duties:
· Plan, manage and/or assist other staff with annual fundraisers or special events
· Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data.
· Attend relevant meetings and seminars when feasible and dress professionally.
· Other administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:
· Must have Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience.
· Minimum of three years of experience in food service and/or lodging operations.
· Background in Human Resources preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Professional and polished image.
· A team player, with the ability to pitch in as a member of a small staff and work in small office environment.
· A self-starter, who can work independently and has a sense of urgency.
· Enthusiastic, energetic, well organized with strong ability to prioritize, multi-task and organize workflow.
Technology Skills:
· Tech-Savvy with excellent computer skills.
· Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
· We will train for Weblink proficiency.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
