Our Talent Acquisition team is currently a team of seven highly productive and collaborative recruitment professionals who take pride in servicing and supporting our hiring leaders with all their talent needs, across our national footprint.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and experienced Talent Acquisition Business Partner to join our team. We are going through a significant and exciting ramp up phase which will see you make your mark on milestone military projects, as you play a significant role in partnering with the business to attract, recruit and onboard the best talent.

• Developing, implementing and coordinating proactive search and strategic sourcing initiatives;
• Working closely with Hiring Managers to define recruitment requirements at a proactive/strategic and role by role level;
• End-to-end recruitment activities including: strategic sourcing, obtaining job approvals, writing and posting job advertisements, managing candidates queries, screening, shortlisting, interview coordination (face-to-face/ video) and participation, completing background checks, making offers of employment and talent pooling;
• Participating and contributing to a variety of strategic recruitment projects;
• Drive brand awareness globally and locally in Australia & New Zealand; and
• Participation at industry events and careers fairs.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role include:

• Knowledge and user experience of contemporary e-recruitment/ATS systems including compiling weekly reports on recruitment activities;
• Experienced in using online platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK Premium Talent Search etc.) for strategic sourcing and talent pooling initiatives both nationally and internationally;
• Drive the end to end recruitment process including briefing & complying position descriptions, advertising, screening, organising and participating in interviews, through to offer generation for the successful candidates;
• Organise regular meetings with Hiring Managers to discuss workforce plans and understand recruitment requirements to develop ‘best practice’ processes and attraction strategies;
• Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills, capable of dealing with all levels of the organisation;
• Strong interviewing skills and excellent communication skills; both written and verbal;
• Display exemplary customer service and relationship building skills to both internal and external stakeholders and strong influencing, consulting and advisory skills; and
• Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
