RHACC Hiring for Accounting and Finance Tutor (Variable Hours) Job at Richmond upon Thames, England Full Time

About the role

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Tutor with subject knowledge in accounting and finance and experience of delivery in further and adult education, to support our learners to achieve AAT qualifications (up to Level 4) and / or complete other courses on aspects of accounting and finance.

The right candidate will have at heart the quality of the provision and the success of the learners on the course, and will keep updated with the latest developments in the subject matters; a familiarity with topics related to financial management is desirable.

Main Responsibilities

Effective lesson planning and delivery, using a variety of teaching strategies, and appropriately meet the needs of diverse learners.

Effective use of the VLE, and tools for distance and blended learning.

Assess students’ progress accurately and provide timely and developmental feedback when needed, in line with college’s policies.

Effective recording of students’ progress and achievement, meeting academic deadlines.

Participate to staff meetings and CPD activities, and support the Programme Manager to update the curriculum offer, in line with the latest developments in the sector.

What we are looking for:

– Qualifications

Holding a Bachelor Degree or above (or equivalent) in Finance and/or Accounting, or correspondent professional qualification.

– Level of teaching qualification

Full teaching qualification E.g. DTLLS or Diploma Education and Training, or willingness to achieve one within 12 months

– Experience

Experience of teaching the subject at Level 3 and Level 4.

Professional background as a senior accountant, finance manager or similar.
