RHACC Hiring for Accounting and Finance Tutor (Part-Time) Job at Richmond upon Thames, England Full Time

About the role:

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Tutor with subject knowledge in accounting and finance, and experience of delivery in further and adult education, to support our learners to achieve AAT qualifications.

The right candidate will have at heart the quality of the provision and the success of the learners on the course, and will keep updated with the latest developments in the subject matter.

Subjects taught will include, AAT qualifications in bookkeeping and accounting, but can be extended to UK taxation, and essentials of personal and business finance.

Main Responsibilities:

Effective lesson planning and delivery, using a variety of teaching strategies, and appropriately meeting the needs of diverse learners.

Effective use of the VLE, and tools for distance and blended learning is also required.

You will be required to assess students’ progress accurately and provide timely and developmental feedback, in line with college policies.

Effective recording of students’ progress and achievement, meeting academic deadlines.

Participate in staff meetings and CPD activities, and support the Programme Manager with Initial Assessments, Progression Reviews and to update the curriculum offer, in line with the latest developments.

What we are looking for:

– Qualified to Degree level or above (or equivalent) in Finance and / or Accounting, or relevant professional qualification.

– Level of teaching qualification

Full teaching qualification e.g. DTLLS or Diploma Education and Training, or willingness to achieve one within 12 months (the college will support the right candidate to achieve this)

– Experience

Experience of teaching the subject at level 3 and level 4. Professional background as a senior accountant, finance manager/supervisor or similar.
